Free Toy Story 5 Outdoor Movie in SF on Sunday: Start Time, RSVP and What to Bring

San Francisco families can watch Toy Story 5 at a free outdoor screening at Thrive City in Mission Bay on Sunday, November 8, 2026. The Chase Center events calendar lists the Blankets & Blockbusters event from noon to 3 p.m., and the film is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.

The outdoor event takes place on the plaza outside Chase Center at 1 Warriors Way, San Francisco, CA 94158. It is free, but organizers encourage advance RSVP. Spaces are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, so an RSVP should not be described as a guarantee of reserved seating.

What time should I arrive?

Activities begin at 12 p.m. Sunday, and the movie starts at 1 p.m. Visitors who want a good viewing space should plan to arrive before the film starts. The venue has advertised movie-themed activities and a photo opportunity alongside the screening.

Should I bring chairs or blankets?

Bring a blanket or suitable layers for a November afternoon outdoors by the bay. Thrive City's public plaza rules prohibit lawn chairs; follow the screening's event-specific instructions if they differ. The event is outdoors and potentially subject to weather-related changes. Food and drinks may be available for purchase nearby; free screening does not mean free refreshments.

How do I reach Thrive City?

Muni's T Third Street line serves the UCSF/Chase Center stop around Third and 16th streets, with connections via downtown. The event is on the outdoor plaza, rather than inside the arena. Paid garage parking is available but may have event demand; check rates and access directly with the venue.

Is an RSVP required?

The venue advertises an RSVP button; local event calendars describe free admission and advance registration. Capacity is limited and participation details can change, so visitors should consult the official event listing before traveling.
