SF Fleet Week 2026: Blue Angels, Ship Tours, Parade & Transit

SAN FRANCISCO — Fleet Week is still nearly two weeks away, but the pieces people usually need at the last minute are already taking shape: the Blue Angels air show schedule is posted, the Parade of Ships has a time, public ship-tour hours are up, SFMTA has published its special-service plan and the Presidio has released weekend road closures.

The broader 2026 Fleet Week program runs Oct. 4 through Oct. 12. The biggest crowd days are Friday through Sunday, Oct. 9–11, when the air show fills the waterfront and transit changes take effect around Fisherman’s Wharf, the Marina and the Presidio.

When are the Blue Angels in San Francisco in 2026?

The official Fleet Week air show runs Friday, Oct. 9 through Sunday, Oct. 11, from noon to 4 p.m. each day. The U.S. Navy Blue Angels headline the show. The published 2026 lineup also includes a United Airlines 777, the U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor Demo Team, an Air Force Heritage Flight and a U.S. Marine Corps F-35B demonstration.

The flying area is along the San Francisco waterfront between the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz. Reserved air-show seating is sold separately, but the aircraft can be seen from public waterfront areas outside the ticketed seating zone.

Is there a Blue Angels practice day in 2026?

As of Sept. 21, the official 2026 Fleet Week calendar does not publish a separate Blue Angels practice-day time. Past-year routines are not a reliable substitute for a current schedule, so anyone specifically planning around a practice flight should recheck the official Fleet Week calendar closer to the event.

When is the Parade of Ships?

The Parade of Ships is Friday, Oct. 9, from 11 a.m. to noon. Fleet Week says the procession can be seen along the waterfront from the Golden Gate Bridge toward the Bay Bridge, with the reviewing stand at Marina Green. The San Francisco Fire Department fire boat is scheduled to lead the procession.

The parade itself is free.

When are the Fleet Week ship tours?

The current detailed ship-tour page lists public tours at Piers 27 and 35 on these dates:

• Wednesday, Oct. 7: 10 a.m.–1 p.m. at Pier 27; 10 a.m.–4 p.m. at Pier 35.
• Thursday, Oct. 8: 10 a.m.–4 p.m. at Piers 27 and 35.
• Saturday, Oct. 10: 10 a.m.–4 p.m. at Piers 27 and 35.
• Sunday, Oct. 11: 10 a.m.–4 p.m. at Piers 27 and 35.
• Monday, Oct. 12: 9 a.m.–noon at Pier 35.

Fleet Week says the visiting ships and final tour schedule will be announced in late September. Its broader events index currently describes ship tours as running Oct. 6–12, while the detailed tour schedule begins Oct. 7. For planning purposes, use the detailed tour page and recheck it before heading to the waterfront.

What changes on Muni for Fleet Week?

SFMTA has already posted the 2026 service plan. On Saturday and Sunday, the F Market & Wharves streetcars will switch back at Pier 39 from noon to 5 p.m., with extra buses along the Embarcadero between the Ferry Building and Fisherman’s Wharf.

Extra 28 19th Avenue and 49 Van Ness/Mission buses are scheduled Friday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The Powell/Mason cable car will use partial bus substitution Saturday and Sunday, and Powell/Hyde will use partial bus substitution Saturday.

SFMTA warns that the 28, 30 Stockton and 49 may also be delayed near the Van Ness terminal. Anyone traveling during the show window should check the SF News Today live transit dashboard and SFMTA alerts before leaving.

What roads close in the Presidio?

The Presidio expects especially heavy demand around Crissy Field and the Main Post. On Saturday, Oct. 10 and Sunday, Oct. 11, several roads and eastern park entrances close to cars starting at noon.

The Presidio specifically lists Montgomery Street, Anza Street from Lincoln to Graham, Mason Street from Marina Boulevard, and Halleck Street. The restrictions apply to private cars, autonomous vehicles and rideshare traffic. Muni buses, the Presidio GO Shuttle and bicycles can continue through the affected roads.

Presidio rideshare pickup and drop-off is being concentrated on the Main Post near the Visitor Center and Officers’ Club.

Is Fleet Week free?

Several of the signature events are free, including the Parade of Ships and public ship tours. Fleet Fest at Fisherman’s Wharf and Pier 27 is also advertised as free. The air show can be watched from public waterfront areas, while reserved seating is ticketed.

What should you check again before Fleet Week?

The two details most likely to change are the visiting-ship list and any additional operational notices issued closer to Oct. 9. SFMTA itself says its Fleet Week information remains subject to change as new details arrive.
