SAN FRANCISCO — Comedy Day returns to Golden Gate Park on Sunday, Sept. 20, and the official 2026 lineup is now posted.
The free outdoor festival runs from noon to 5 p.m. at Robin Williams Meadow. The closing set includes Paula Poundstone, Chris Titus, Will Durst, Diane Amos, Carrie Snow and Dan St. Paul, while earlier sets include Marga Gomez, Nato Green, Brian Copeland, Tony Sparks, Nina G, Johnny Steele and Scott Capurro.
The organizer says lineup and times remain subject to change.

When should you arrive?
For the full five-hour festival, arrive before noon. People mainly interested in the better-known veteran comics may prefer the later afternoon, with a particularly strong concentration from about 2:45 p.m. onward.
Where is Robin Williams Meadow?
Robin Williams Meadow is at the eastern end of Golden Gate Park near Kezar Drive, JFK Drive and McLaren Lodge. It was formerly known as Sharon Meadow.
What does the Haight Street Fair change?
Comedy Day happens the same Sunday as the Haight-Ashbury Street Fair, only a short distance away. Haight Street closes from Stanyan to Masonic for most of the day, with several Muni reroutes.
That makes normal driving and bus access around Haight/Stanyan less predictable than on a typical Golden Gate Park Sunday.
What about parking?
Parking exists around the eastern end of Golden Gate Park, but demand is likely to be high because two major free events overlap nearby. Drivers should expect closures and limited curb parking.
Can you bring a lawn chair?
Comedy Day's FAQ asks visitors to avoid lawn chairs because of limited space and blocked sight lines. A blanket is less obstructive for lawn seating.
Is there food?
Yes. The organizer says food and drink vendors will be on site.
Is Comedy Day family-friendly?
The organizer characterizes the event as roughly PG-13: performers are asked to keep things relatively clean, but occasional adult language or subjects can appear.
