SAN FRANCISCO — Families planning to attend Thrill-O-Ween at Thrive City on Saturday, Oct. 24 should not rely on older event listings: Thrive City’s official Eventbrite organizer page currently marks the event “Cancelled.”
There is an important wrinkle. Chase Center’s own public event calendar still lists Thrill-O-Ween for Oct. 24 with an RSVP option, while its fall-programming announcement continues to describe the event as taking place. The result is two first-party sources giving visitors different answers.
Is Thrill-O-Ween 2026 canceled?
As of Oct. 14, the clearest current cancellation indicator is Thrive City’s Eventbrite organizer page, where the Oct. 24 listing is explicitly marked canceled.
Chase Center’s public-facing calendar has not been updated consistently and continues to show the event. Until Thrive City or Chase Center clarifies or restores the listing, visitors should not make plans that depend on Thrill-O-Ween taking place Oct. 24.
What had been planned for Oct. 24?
Chase Center announced the sixth annual Thrill-O-Ween as a free family event scheduled for noon to 5 p.m. at Thrive City.
The announced program included trick-or-treat stations, a mini pumpkin patch, live entertainment, a costume contest, themed photo opportunities and an outdoor screening of E.T. on the Thrive City video board.
Those details should now be treated as the original plan, not as a confirmed Oct. 24 schedule.
Why was Thrill-O-Ween canceled?
SF News Today has not found a first-party statement establishing the reason for the cancellation.
Some secondary event listings have offered explanations, but the official Thrive City organizer listing simply marks the event canceled. We are therefore not attributing a cause until Chase Center or Thrive City confirms one.
SF News Today will update this page if the organizers clarify the cancellation or restore the event.
