SAN FRANCISCO — Phoebe Bridgers brings The Lost Tour to Chase Center for two nights next week, and the most unusual entry rule is one fans need to plan for before they arrive: the performances are phone- and camera-free.
Chase Center lists both the Tuesday, Oct. 27 and Wednesday, Oct. 28 shows for 7:30 p.m., with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. The venue says phones, smart watches, recording devices and filming devices will be secured in Yondr pouches at entry.
How does the Yondr phone-free system work?
Guests keep possession of the locked pouch during the show. Chase Center says designated Phone Use Areas will be available for anyone who needs to access a device during the event, and the pouch is unlocked at the end of the night.
The venue says guests seen using a non-permitted recording device during the performance may be asked to leave. The Oct. 27 page also says phones, smart watches and accessories will be secured on arrival.
What should you bring if your phone is locked up?
Chase Center specifically recommends bringing a credit card for purchases inside the arena. That matters because a phone that normally handles tap-to-pay will be inside the pouch for most of the event.
If your ticket is mobile, have it ready before the device is secured at entry. The phone-free rule applies once guests arrive and are processed into the venue; it does not mean you should leave the phone at home unless that works better for your plans.
What time are the Oct. 27 and Oct. 28 shows?
- Tuesday, Oct. 27: doors 6:30 p.m.; show 7:30 p.m.
- Wednesday, Oct. 28: doors 6:30 p.m.; show 7:30 p.m.
Chase Center says $1 from every ticket sold on the North American leg of The Lost Tour will be donated to RAINN. The venue also strongly encourages public transit for arena events.
Does a Chase Center concert ticket include Muni?
SFMTA says tickets to Chase Center events using the arena ticketing system serve as all-day Muni fare, excluding cable cars. The ticket remains valid for Muni through the end of the service day at 2 a.m. after the event.
The T Third stops at UCSF/Chase Center. Fans connecting from BART can also watch for event-day 78X Arena Express service from 16th Street/Mission. Check SF News Today's transit page before leaving for any late changes.
