SAN FRANCISCO — Fiesta de las Américas returns to the Mission Saturday with a full day of music and cultural programming — and SFMTA has now published the 2026 street-closure and Muni plan that was missing when this guide first went live.
The free festival runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 12. The road closures begin three hours earlier and continue until 9 p.m., while the 48 Quintara/24th Street starts rerouting at 7:30 a.m.
What is the Fiesta de las Américas stage schedule?
Calle 24’s published main-stage schedule at 23rd and Harrison includes:
- Arenas Dance Company, 11:45 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
- Los Kimberos, 1–2:30 p.m.
- Latin Dance Grooves, 2:45–3:15 p.m.
- La Gente SF, 3:45–4:55 p.m.
- Cuicacalli Escuela de Danza, 5:15–6 p.m.
DJ Luis Medina is scheduled between several performances.
Which Mission streets close Saturday?
SFMTA says the following streets close from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.:
- 24th Street between Treat and Alabama
- Harrison Street between 23rd and 25th
- Adjacent smaller streets and alleys between 23rd and 25th, including Treat, Harrison, Alabama and Florida
- Lucky and Balmy between 24th and 25th

How does the 48 Quintara/24th reroute?
SFMTA says the 48 Quintara/24th Street reroutes in the Mission from about 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Inbound buses toward Potrero Hill divert from 24th and Folsom via Folsom, 26th, Bryant and back to 24th Street. Stops at 24th and Folsom and 24th and Harrison are missed in that direction, with alternate stops listed by SFMTA nearby.
Because the route runs directly through the festival corridor, check live Muni conditions before leaving rather than relying only on the planned detour.
What is the best way to get there?
24th Street Mission BART is the most useful rail gateway for many visitors. From the station, walk east on 24th Street toward the festival footprint.
Driving puts you directly into a neighborhood with long event closures and reduced curb access. If you do drive, park outside the closure footprint and expect a walk rather than circling the event blocks for a space.
